Pietro Prunotto, Il resto del soggetto. Pharmakon e chiasmo

Abstract

Il contributo propone la nozione di “resto del soggetto” come categoria interpretativa per affrontare la questione del soggetto attraverso il pensiero della decostruzione. L’espressione è volutamente ambigua nel suo genitivo: designa al contempo ciò che resiste al soggetto e ciò che del soggetto permane dopo la critica. L’analisi si articola in tre movimenti. Il primo mostra come la decostruzione operi come pensiero del resto, attraverso la struttura dell’indecidibile e il doppio gesto di inversione e dislocazione delle opposizioni. Il secondo assume il pharmakon derridiano come caso paradigmatico di un eccesso che resiste strutturalmente all’interiorizzazione e alla classificazione dialettica, rivelando il limite costitutivo di ogni soggettività critica. Il terzo movimento trae le conseguenze di questa resistenza: il soggetto non è né negato né rifondato, ma si configura come figura chiasmatica, ovvero come effetto di una differenza irriducibile tanto all’identità quanto all’espropriazione, sempre aperto a un resto che nessuna totalizzazione può assorbire.

Abstract (english)

This paper introduces the notion of “rest of the subject” as an interpretive category to address the question of subjectivity through deconstructive thought. The expression is deliberately ambiguous in its genitive construction: it designates simultaneously what resists the subject and what persists of the subject after critique. The analysis unfolds in three movements. The first shows how deconstruction operates as a thinking of the rest, through the structure of the undecidable and the double gesture of inversion and displacement of oppositions. The second takes Derrida’s pharmakon as a paradigmatic instance of an excess that structurally resists interiorization and dialectical classification, thereby revealing the constitutive limit of every critical subjectivity. The third movement draws the consequences of this resistance: the subject is neither negated nor reconstituted but takes shape as a chiasmatic figure – that is, as the effect of a difference irreducible both to identity and to expropriation, always open to the rest that no totalization can absorb.
